“ Been coming to Saita regularly, ever since our first visit to Athens in 2007. If you are here during tourist season, the place will be packed with tourists, but it is not a tourist trap its one of the oldest koutoukia basement eateries in Plaka family owned and operated in that location since about 1970, and a favorite of locals. The food is fresh, well prepared, and very affordable, and the kitchen has maintained its excellence and consistency over all the years that weve been coming. Also BEST zucchini chips in the city, handsdown, not to mention the most consistently perfectly cooked and delicious Sea Breamoutside of Varoulko Seaside and at a fraction of the cost.We usually start and end our Athens trips at Saita and we never regret it. ”
“ We went for our first lunch in Athens to this lovely place. The food was absolutely amazing, the service was spotless, such a wonderful people. They made you feel welcomed, comfortable and the food was good quality, and lots of flavour. We had grilled squid which was extremely delicious, as well as beef souvlaki. The food was so good that we had come back from our last night in Athens. We had tried other places in around Plaka where they waiters try to get you to sit down and eat but its mainly tasteless food for high price. Which is why highly recommend this place. Their baklava was amazing! ”
